We have a beautiful boarder collie.   She is such a sweetheart and is protective when she needs to be.   She brightens everyday.    Thanks for this site to share our pets.    Jodi

Since I'm unable to have a pet of my own (I travel a lot), I love being the step parent of my roommate's cat!! We still play together and have a great time, and I love her like she was my own! She's a very vocal cat and we have conversations daily! I'm going to miss her when I move in a couple of weeks.

This may sound trite, but seriously, having a pet -- especially a cat or dog -- adds so much joy to daily life.  If you've never had one, really consider it!  Consider this a public service announcement.  :)
